Personalised care for lasting weight loss and metabolic health

I help people rebuild their relationship with food and their bodies through evidence-based nutrition, behavioural science, and clinical collaboration to support meaningful, sustainable change.

When weight becomes a battle you can no longer face alone

For many people, managing weight has been an exhausting cycle of progress and setback. You try different diets, see results for a while, then watch them fade. This is not about motivation or willpower. Weight regulation is influenced by biology, hormones, environment, stress, sleep, and the strategies we use to manage them.

At The Nutrition Compass, I integrate evidence-based nutrition with behavioural science and clinical teams to support long-term success. I work with individuals and, where appropriate, with clinical teams including GPs, prescribers, and bariatric specialists to ensure care is coordinated and effective.

Together, we focus on creating realistic long-term nutrition and lifestyle habits that build metabolic stability, restore confidence, and help maintain a healthy weight for life. With compassion, not judgement.

What makes lasting change possible

Many people have been told that weight loss is simply about eating less or trying harder. The evidence tells a different story. Sustainable weight management comes from consistent, evidence-based habits that support every part of health, including:

  • Nutrition: A pattern of eating centred on real, satisfying food that steadies blood sugar, reduces cravings, and fits your preferences and culture.

  • Physical activity: Supportive, progressive movement that builds strength, energy, and confidence at a pace that fits your starting point.

  • Behavioural strategies: Practical ways to manage setbacks, track progress, and keep motivation steady, because change rarely happens in a straight line.

  • Sustained support: Regular follow-up and accountability to help new habits become part of daily life for the long term.

Even small amounts of weight loss can lead to meaningful health gains such as better energy, lower blood pressure, improved glucose control, and reduced risk of chronic disease.

For some, that may mean losing 5 to 10 percent of body weight. For others, the journey may take longer or look different. Each step forward strengthens metabolic health and quality of life.

Every recommendation I make is grounded in this body of evidence and tailored to what will truly work for you.

Testimonials

Real experiences from people I have supported, each showing that sustainable weight management starts with nourishment, not restriction.

Client 1

"I spent more than a decade struggling with my weight and often felt bad about what I ate. Working very long hours in the music industry meant I ate whatever was quick and easy, or sometimes I forgot to eat and binged in the middle of the night or the next day. I did not know how to change those habits. Monica was very patient with me and over six months,  helped me make small, simple changes that made sense for me and respected my Asian food preferences. She taught me how to eat in a way that keeps me full and gives me energy. For the first time, I feel comfortable with my eating and my weight. "

Client 2

"As a dancer, it can be hard to stay strong and to maintain a stable weight without feeling tired all the time. Monica helped me understand how to eat properly for training and recovery, not just to manage my weight. I now have more energy, and I recover faster after intense training sessions. I feel more confident in making food and meal choices which support my weight, performance and health."

Client 3

“When I first met Monica, I was tired all the time, had ongoing digestive problems, and found it hard to keep my weight steady. She really listened and helped me figure out what was going on. We made simple changes that actually worked, and she checked in regularly to help me adjust things as I went along. Within a few weeks, my digestion and energy improved, and I finally started to feel comfortable in my own body again. It has made such a difference.”
